Good Behavior Game - Adding "Most Valuable Players" (MVPs)

Acknowledge MVPs In Front of The Class

  • Select a student from the winning team or one from each team.
  • Select students that displayed consistent or improved behavior
    • Don't always choose the most compliant or "best behaved" student.
    • Choose student that does not always perform well but did this time.
  • Consider having team members select their team’s MVP.
  • Consider having each team select the other team’s MVP.

Each MVP Can Receive an Additional Reward

Examples:

  • Social Rewards
    • Announce MVPs over school intercom system
      • This encourages/holds accountable all teachers to participate.
    • MVP "Name in Lights":
      • The student decorates a board with his/her name (e.g., draw, color, hang string of lights, etc.)
    • Wear the MVP medal.
  • Tangible Rewards
    • Special prizes
      • MVP Raffle - MVPs get a ticket for a weekly class- or school-wide raffle.
    • Additional prizes or privileges (e.g., line leader, homework pass, etc.)
