Collect Evaluation Data
Now that you have a treatment fidelity form, you need to collect evaluation data. Below are the steps to begin collecting fidelity data.
Step 1: Train the Individuals(s) Responsible for Collecting Data
- Train the individual to complete the fidelity form accurately
- Review the form, practice together and provide feedback
Step 2: Determine Frequency of Data Collection
- Consider the intensity of the intervention (e.g., steps of intervention, reinforcement, response to challenging behavior) and how many components there are to determine how often data will be taken
- Commit to ongoing data collection as treatment fidelity data change over time
- Be responsive to the data - collect data more frequently when intervention fidelity data has been low
Step 3: Establish Regular Data Review
- Determine when learner outcome and treatment fidelity data will be reviewed (ex: weekly, bi-weekly)
- Make sure all relevant stakeholders can participate in data review
- Before meeting compile all data into graphs to analyze during the meeting
