Subject:                Materials On Autism, Structuring Environments, Team Processes, etc., That May Help You!

Hi Folks!

For you trainers and consultants, I just got through reviewing a website (because we are going to reorganize the DCS website for the PENT access to everything we ALL have found helpful.)

I wanted you to know about this one right away as they have done a really good job. Go to website ”e" attachment link below, or paste this url: http://www.pattan.k12.pa.us/

Step One:
Then look at the directory on the left. Click behavior. Then scroll way down to the gray box.  There are lots of good things here.  Some of their form pages look really useful to me as worksheets for our team processes, whether BSP or FAA in nature.  Some of their stuff on getting at the function of the behavior looks good. I may borrow (they borrow from me a lot too!--good people) and revise slightly. If I do, I'll be sure to send it your way, but thought you might want to get at this site right away.

Step Two:

Be sure to also go to the behavior intervention plans stuff, then look at the WORD version that is under behavior intervention plans.  Some of the PowerPoints are well formatted (and you can cut and paste from it you know!) and trainers, the manuscript of what was actually said at their training is interesting too. Always interesting to see how others describe what we are trying to describe don't you think?   Some of you trainers may find some of this really useful for you!

Step Three:

Absolutely BE SURE to review this website's PowerPoint on Autism...I REALLY LIKE IT.  Don't be put off when you come to slides that are just relevant to Penn. Keep going...there are WONDERFUL visuals on prompts, classroom visual scheduling, etc......Think "slide-by-slide" as they have done a great job on a lot of this material and it would work for trainings on both autism and environmental structures to support positive behavior.
